The Van de Stadt design of the "Zeehond" ("Seal") was the basis of the design of the Trintella 38. Where the "Seal" might be a little cramped in some places, the 38 offers lots of space. At the entrance one notices this immediatly, especially by the enormous headroom (more than 2 metres!) throughout the cabin. Very special is the possibility to litteraly make a walk around in the ship, by the head that is attainable both from the main cabin and from the aftcabin. The finishing is according the Trintella standards, which gives the ship a luxurious touch. The only thing is that the ship doesn't meet the expectation on speed, that Van de Stadt had. The robust and heavy finishing is propably to blame. The 38 is delivered as sloop and also as ketch.
